(Huntsville/Lake of Bays) – The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department has launched their annual volunteer firefighter recruitment campaign and is looking for residents passionate about protecting their communities. Applications open on November 4 and close on November 30, 2024. Interested individuals are invited to attend an information session at Station 1 Huntsville (1 Payne Drive) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

(Huntsville, ON) With the urgent need for family physicians in Huntsville, Town Council supported the development of a Physician Incentive Program on May 27, 2024. Since launching the program in June 2024, the program has resulted in the following:

  • Two (2) physicians have signed the agreement (one is establishing a new practice and one is taking over an existing practice)
  • One (1) physician is in the process of signing (and will establish a new practice)
